We’d like to thank the German Rejects VW Club for joining us for a day of family fun at the June 4, 2016 Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show. The club had some great stories about their cars and their families. There’s 12 year old member, Kaytie, who’s owned a Bug since she was a baby and can’t wait to learn how to drive. Then there’s Mayra Flores, who lied to her doctor to postpone the delivery of her baby so that she could attend the swap meet! Congratulations to Mayra and Porfirio on their first boy and the newest member of the German Rejects, Cesar!
The Rejects drive a fun variety of bugs and buses: they’ve got a bug for racing, a bug that’s a truck, Mexican Beetles, beach cruising buses, and a camping bus. Many of their cars are daily drivers, which is the way it should be! As you can see from the photos, this club is truly about family and friends, with cars just bringing everyone together.
The Rejects invite you to join them when they meet every Friday from 7-10 p.m. in the Walgreen’s parking lot located at 9750 Woodman Avenue, Arleta, Calif. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Instagram.
If you’re a car club member and would like your club to enjoy a free day at a future Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show, please contact Matt by email or at (714) 538-7091.
