We would like to thank the Orphan Car Group for attending the April 17, 2016 Pomona Swap Meet to show us a few of the “gone but not forgotten” marques of auto manufacturers past. They delighted the crowd with a display of fun and rare classics; from race cars to beach cruisers, original to restored, you were sure to see something to put a smile on your face.
“Studebaker Steve” Broock, who organized the outing, would like to invite all “orphan” car drivers to the 9th Annual Orphan Car Night at Irwindale Speedway, on June 11, 2016. The day’s festivities will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Cabrera’s Mexican Restaurant, 1856 Huntington Drive, Duarte, Calif. There will be some visiting and tire kicking, lunch, and then a cruise to Irwindale Speedway, 500 Speedway Drive, Irwindale, Calif., where the orphan vehicles will take a couple of parade laps around the track prior to the night’s racing. If you would like to be included on Studebaker Steve’s Orphan Car Event List, call (909) 973-6955 or email [email protected] for more information.
If you’re a car club member and would like your club to enjoy a free day at a future Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show, please contact Matt by email or at (714) 538-7091.
