When it comes to vendors at the Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show, not a lot can say they’ve been coming since they were little kids… but Junior from Pro Auto Truck Electric can make that statement. He and his father, Frank, have been Pomona “regulars” since Junior was a boy, and they’ve been a part of the fabric of the Swap Meet ever since.

Now, after a few decades of learning the business and selling at the Swap Meet, Junior is in training to take things over. Sticking with family tradition, he’s not planning to make changes to how they do business. And just what does Pro Auto Truck Electric do? Well, the name tells some of the story, but the name isn’t the whole story.

Pro Auto Truck Electric has always been a family business focused on rebuilding electrical components in vehicles. They rebuild alternators, starters and other automotive electrical items at their shop in Azusa, California. “Quality is our main focus,” says Junior, although “we beat the majority of other people’s prices, we try to think about it from the customer’s standpoint.”

Wait, how can you be the best and also the most affordable? Keeping it local. And having the work done in-house. That’s the formula they use to make outstanding products at very, very competitive prices.

What you’ll find on their Swap Meet spaces are a lot of shiny, enticing chromed parts that will really dress up an engine compartment when the hood is raised. You’ll find chrome alternators, starters, water pumps and other items to spiff up the appearance of your vintage car or truck. Being in the business for so many decades, they’ve earned a reputation of quality… along with plenty of friends. With the cool items that Pro Auto Truck Electric sells and has been selling all these years, they’re definitely one of the go-to places for under the hood dress-up items.

So whether your old ride needs electrical work, or you just want to make it look like a million bucks, go to space C-24 on the Main Aisle, or spaces 50 and 52 on Road 26. The family at Pro Auto Truck Electric are good people to see (or call at 626-334-0112). Ask anybody who’s been coming to Pomona for three decades. How time flies!
