Some collector car enthusiasts, when sharing their passion, are asked, “yeah, but do they still make parts for those cars?” There are certainly some classic cars where replacement parts are scarce. However, there are projects where restoration is a much simpler task, thanks to some great places to find parts and accesories. For those working on vintage Chevrolet, Pontiac or Chrysler vehicles, one go-to source for collector parts is Classic Industries.

Classic Industries has been in the parts business for over thirty years. They started out helping people get parts for early Camaros, and then branched out to include various Chevy models, Pontiacs, and even some Mopars. If you’re restoring a car from the Detroit muscle era, you’ll definitely want to talk to Classic Industries.

Speaking with General Manager Mark Vogt, he mentioned that the company works with both people who are either looking to restore their vintage car so that it looks like it did when it first rolled off the assembly line, or those who desire their car to run like new, but using parts that modify it to more modern standards. Either way, the extensive catalog of parts available from Classic Industries is an incredibly valuable resource.

And speaking of parts availability, the company keeps its ear to the ground. When some Mopar fans complained that parts were hard to find, and that some of the people selling parts weren’t professional to deal with, Classic Industries jumped in and started carrying parts for those collectors as well.

Lately, it seems more and more folks are restoring vintage Novas… and Classic Industries is right there to help them, too. “There were over a million Novas sold and many of the parts are the same as those used for the F-Bodies,” said Mark. Makes sense that you can get a good, solid car in a Nova and turn it into the kind of pavement scorcher that you’ve always wanted. Make it look like Grandma’s Nova, but be able to embarrass someone when the lights go green!

No matter what the vision is for your project, you can rely on Classic Industries to help put the dream into your metal.

But, don’t think that Classic Industries is so big that they don’t care. Mark shared a story about a recent customer he had the privilege of working with, who was all the way over in Israel! He was restoring a vintage Camaro that “you just don’t see over there,” and he was fortunate to find a lot of the things he needed for the car. The car is now fully restored, and it’s a testimonial that Classic Industries can make the job possible, no matter how great the distance.

That customer is not alone – at this past year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, celebrity Tim Allen, an avid car guy, showed a ‘68 Camaro that he built after spending a lot of time with the Classic Industries catalog.

At each Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show, visit the Classic Industries booth, located on the Main Aisle (Road C, Spaces 4, 5, and 6), where you can get your own parts catalog to help jump start your classic car project.
