Back in the days before oil shortages and sky-rocketing gas prices, back when power and style was everything, back before the roads became choked with miles of cars that all looked the same… we had muscle cars. Whether the age of muscle cars was before your time or whether you’re searching for some special muscle car parts to finish restoring your own iconic symbol of the 60’s and 70’s, you should  make a plan to attend the Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show this Sunday, June 2.

Although some might contend that Oldsmobile produced the first muscle car in 1949 with their Rocket 88, the term muscle car usually refers to 2-door, high performance cars made between 1964 and 1975. These cars were designed with a sporty and cocky style, and were built to be affordable and fast. Not to mention, a muscle car commanded the road and the attention of all who saw it in action.

Ask five friends to name their top ten muscle cars of all time and although the order in which they are listed may vary, you’ll find the same names popping up in every list – Dodge Charger, Shelby Mustang, Pontiac GTO, Firebird Trans Am, Chevy Camaro and Chevelle. Every muscle car enthusiast has his or her favorite, but there’s an appreciation and respect for these powerful machines that every car buff shares.

For the muscle car or classic car fan, there’s no better place to see great classic cars exhibited or to locate those hard-to-find parts than the Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show. You’ll find over 15 miles of cars and parts at the largest collection of antique cars, parts and accessories for show and sale on the West Coast. Contact us for more information on our next event which is scheduled for June 2, 2013 at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA.  Don’t miss it!
