It’s not everyday that an entire single-owner collection of classic cars goes up for sale, but that’s what is scheduled to happen at Lyngsbækgård Manor, on the eastern coast of Denmark, on September 26th. Henrik Frederiksen, one of Denmark’s wealthiest men, has announced that he’s going to auction off his pristine collection of 48 automobiles. The majority of the collection are pre-WWII cars from Britain, Germany, and America. The collection includes names like Bentley, Duesenberg, Jaguar, Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Lagonda, and Rolls-Royce. To make the collection even more impressive, ALL of the cars are running!

Frederiksen and his wife, Vivi, collected the cars over several decades and spared no expense in their pursuit of cars that they loved. In fact, several of the cars have won the top prize at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, in Carmel, Calif., and at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy. The Frederiksens’ passion for perfection is part of what makes the collection so special. These aren’t just incredibly rare cars… they are the best of the best. And they have all been meticulously cared for.

But, sadly, Vivi passed away earlier this year. Now that she’s gone, Frederiksen has decided that it’s time to move on, and for the cars to find new homes. He hopes that new owners can enjoy them like they did, and that the new owners will appreciate these classic beauties in all of their splendor. And Frederiksen was eager to inform people that the cars are all in perfect condition, and can be driven the day they are purchased.

The Frederiksen Collection will be auctioned off by Bonhams this September, and it’s expected to bring in around $40M.
